Under the direction of the Manager of Service Contracts, the Floor Care Custodian is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties, including carpet cleaning, pressure washing, hard floor restoration, specialized cleaning, and heavy‑duty cleaning of public restrooms. The role requires specialized knowledge of methods and techniques for cleaning carpets, as well as stripping, waxing, and polishing a variety of floor surfaces, including wood, marble, linoleum, terrazzo, vinyl, and asphalt tile. The Floor Care Custodian will also be required to operate electrically powered equipment for both carpet and hard floor care. Responsibilities may additionally include performing the full range of assigned custodial duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
• Perform floor and carpet maintenance such as pressure washing, sweeping, moping, scrubbing, striping, waxing and polishing.
• Clean windows, walls and ceilings, vents, window coverings and blinds.
• Maintain and order supplies and materials necessary for assigned work.
• Maintain equipment, materials and supplies in proper condition.
• Comply with all material safety data sheets and other safety regulations.
• Perform the other facilities and custodial duties as requested such as sets up and break down meeting rooms and rearrange furniture.
• Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
• May be assigned other duties as needed
