Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Alabama is seeking an entry-level team member to maintain a clean floor area around the production line, hose down and wash as needed, and follow all safety and PPE requirements.

The role emphasizes following SOPs, working cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers, and performing assigned tasks to support efficient, safe poultry processing.

Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for removing debris from the floor and keeps the floor hosed down/clean. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Poultry experience preferred but not required

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements.
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, smock, earplugs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift.
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels) and moving production.
