Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Line Associate to disassemble poultry and perform a variety of production line tasks as they rotate through the line.

Responsibilities include learning processing tasks such as debone or evisceration while adhering to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines. The role emphasizes working in a team on a fast-paced line with PPE provided to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Previous poultry experience preferred.

• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

• Perform all duties in compliance with Company policies and procedures, agency guidelines (i.e. NCC Animal Welfare, U.S.D.A, etc.) and Federal, State and local legal requirements

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Previous poultry experience preferred

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work non-standard shifts (weekends, holidays and extended shifts) as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Exposure to wet and cold environment, and work around raw and/or animal odors
• Exposure to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving equipment
