Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Flood Technician in Fort Wright, KY to assist the operation and maintenance of the flood system and its assets. POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists the operation and maintenance of the flood system and its associated assets. The Flood Technician also assists in managing the flood first responders’ program, including the management of the personnel during a flood event. This position also keeps the system ready during on-flood season to ensure that all PM’s and requirements are met when the system is needed. Aside from flood system/storm water related work, this position will assist in the operation and maintenance of air release valves on our pump station force mains.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( including, but not limited to, the following)


  • Keep the flood system operating and maintained all year long to ensure it’s ready when needed.

  • Assist in managing the flood first responders during a flood event.

  • Assist in creating a schedule during flood events to maintain correct operation 24/7.

  • Assist in contractor oversight on any project pertaining to flood related equipment.

  • Creates and assists with work orders for maintenance.

  • Creates yearly inspections for all assets in the flood system.

  • Keeps all flood stations clean and maintained for the optics of the general public.

  • Has a deep understanding of the flood system and its corresponding river levels.

  • Maintains constant knowledge of the river level projections from week to week.

  • Can answer flood system related questions from outside or internal sources.

  • Doesbi-annual inspections on ARV’s on the pump station force mains


Qualifications


  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferably higher education with a degree or certification in a related field.

  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, and other devices includes experience with uploading files from a computer to a device or piece of equipment.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of SD1 pump and flood station operations and keep up to date on changes in the collection system.
