Job summary

Truist seeks a flood compliance subject matter expert to provide independent oversight and risk guidance on flood regulatory requirements. You will interpret laws, assess controls, and support the implementation of mitigation strategies across the enterprise.

Based in-office five days a week, the role requires eight years in financial services with five in compliance, plus strong regulatory and communication skills. Locations include Charlotte, Raleigh, and others in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Eight years of financial institution experience.
• Five years of direct experience in compliance.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, across management levels.
• In-office role five days a week in listed locations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret new or existing laws, rules and regulations as a SME and communicate requirements to business units.
• Analyze policies, procedures, processes and controls to identify gaps; lead or support compliance initiatives.
• Provide guidance on compliance risk scenarios within business units.
• Develop Risk Committee materials evaluating program effectiveness and risk status.
• Communicate with management and regulators regarding compliance activities and examinations.
• Implement flood compliance framework including issue management, monitoring indicators, and regulatory updates.
• May supervise other Compliance teammates and mentor staff.
