Job summary

Truist seeks a flood compliance subject matter expert to provide independent oversight, guidance, and risk consultation on flood regulatory requirements. You will partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to interpret rules, assess practices, evaluate controls, and support risk mitigation.

The role requires extensive regulatory experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead or mentor Compliance Officers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business-related field with experience in financial services.
• Eight years of financial institution experience and five years in compliance.
• Demonstrated experience with regulators, requirements and compliance.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, across all management levels.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws, rules and regulations and communicate requirements to business units.
• Analyze policies and controls to identify gaps and lead compliance initiatives.
• Provide guidance on complex risk scenarios within business units.
• Develop Risk Committee materials and evaluate program effectiveness and risks.
• Communicate with management and regulators regarding compliance activities and exams.
• Implement flood compliance risk management framework and regulatory updates.
• May mentor other Compliance Officers and Analysts.
