Virsono Hearing Centers is seeking a Treatment Technician-Patient Care in the San Diego area. The role combines audiology support with medical assistant duties, reporting to the Regional Clinic Manager and working with licensed audiologists.

You will manage patient intake, assist with audiological tests, and support tele-audiology functions using the EMR system. This is a fast-paced clinic role focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a busy medical clinic or business setting.
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent; Certified Audiology Assistant is a plus.
• Proficiency with EMR software (Counsel Ear is highly desirable).
• Willingness to enroll in AuD Tech distance program to further expertise.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As the Audiology Technician/Medical Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our operations, reporting to the Regional Clinic Manager and collaborating closely with our licensed audiologists. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of our clinic, to using our state-of-the-art EMR system to overseeing audiological tests and assisting in tele-audiology functions. Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional service and support both in-person and over the phone.
• Collaborate with our remote Treatment Coordinator and Treatment Specialist to facilitate Tele-Health appointments seamlessly.
• Champion infection control protocols at your site, prioritizing the health and safety of both patients and staff.
• Lead the charge in maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and upholding our clinic's Covid Policy.
• Prepare insightful reports and participate actively in team meetings and daily huddles, driving our collective success forward.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a bustling medical clinic or business setting.
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent. Certified Audiology Assistant is a plus.
• Proficiency with EMR software, such as Counsel Ear, is highly desirable.
• Willingness to enroll in an AuD Tech distance program to further your expertise.

Range: $23–$28/hour

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent required; Certified Audiology Assistant a plus
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced medical clinic or similar setting
• EMR proficiency required
• Willingness to enroll in an AuD Tech distance program
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and infection control standards
• Available Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, on-site in Poway, CA; able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; background check required
