Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Floating Teacher Aide for its Middletown Education Program. The role supports an interdisciplinary team and assists with classroom activities for children of varying abilities.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, 32.5 hours/week, 48 weeks/year, with a 6-week summer program. Pay range is $16.88–$18.88 per hour, and benefits include health plans and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in early childhood or special education preferred.
• Ability to assist students using adaptive equipment and safety techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom activities and follow daily schedule.
• Support students with mobility and self-care tasks under supervision.
• Prepare and organize materials for lessons and activities.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
• Help supervise students during transitions and specials.
