Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County is seeking a Floating Teaching Assistant/Aide for Denver, PA. This full-time non-exempt position supports Thrive to Five and may serve at Reamstown Elementary School and/or Denver Elementary School with travel required.

The role involves assisting with curriculum implementation, following schedules and lesson plans, promoting health and safety, social-emotional growth, and family engagement. Salary includes $17.40 to $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for an Aide include a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum qualifications for an Assistant include a high school diploma or GED with 2500 hours of experience with children, 30 college credits, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementing Creative Curriculum, Thrive to Five’s daily structures, and instructional strategies in accordance with program guidelines to fidelity.
• Follows schedules, daily routines, and lesson plans of each classroom.
• Uses responsive language with children.
• Participates in individualized instruction for children with disabilities and individual needs.
• Promotes healthy growth and safety by following regulatory standards and Thrive to Five policies.
• Supervises meals and daily activities, reinforcing health, safety, and nutrition education.
• Implements social-emotional skills and behavior support plans with guidance from coordinators and specialists.

Education

High school diploma or GED

2500 hours of experience with children

30 college credit hours in education or related field

PA DHS Assistant qualifications equivalent
