This role involves engaging with clients by welcoming them warmly, assisting with financial transactions accurately and efficiently, and building relationships with clients by connecting them with other team members to address their financial needs. The position requires working under close supervision with limited decision-making authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties supporting the branch's paying and receiving functions, including accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing withdrawals, selling cashier’s checks, redeeming bonds, issuing cash advances, transferring funds, and processing utility and loan payments.
• Maintain awareness of new business opportunities and refer customers to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to customer inquiries via telephone regarding account balances, withdrawals, and verification.
• Prepare daily cash transactions, balance cash drawers, and review related reports.
• Process night deposit, mail deposit, ATM, and courier deposits.
• Maintain cash levels, sell excess or mutilated cash, and service ATM and coin machines as needed.
• Verify and wrap coins and currency for vault control.
• Adhere to legal and organizational policies promoting a harassment-free environment and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide safe deposit box services and work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Cash handling experience in banking, retail, or cash office setting (6 months to 1 year preferred).
• Excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and operate banking systems and office equipment.
