Job summary

MCHENRY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 15 is seeking a District Floating School Nurse to provide medical care, maintain health records, and support student health needs during the school day. The role will collaborate with health services and educational staff to ensure student well-being.

The candidate must hold an Illinois nursing license or School Nurse endorsement, with a Bachelor's degree; CPR instructor certification preferred.

Qualifications

Clear communication and concise reporting required.
Proficient in nursing assessment and patient care.
Familiarity with health service policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Immediately administer to students who are ill or injured.
Apply knowledge of clinical nursing, assessment, and first aid.
Perform skilled nursing procedures and emergency care as needed per board policies.
Maintain student health records per District 15 procedures and state requirements.
Compile data on acuity levels of students for health services reporting.
Develop and maintain health care plans for students needing nursing interventions.
Collaborate with special education to address health needs and IEPs.
Consult with parents, medical practitioners, and staff on student health limits.
