Job summary

CenterWell Pharmacy is seeking a Floating Retail Pharmacy Technician in Florida. The role involves obtaining new prescriptions, counting and restocking drugs, and assisting the pharmacist with price checks. You will interact with patients, process prescription data, and support delivery coordination.

The position is patient-facing and part of a TB screening program; successful candidates will complete the TB screen and work shifts as part of a variable staffing pool.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum 6 months of experience as Pharmacy Technician.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams) and able to learn new systems.
• Role is patient-facing and part of TB screening program; TB screen will be completed if selected.

The Floating Retail Pharmacy Technician obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

The Floating Retail Pharmacy Technician will report to a Pharmacist, and will perform the following:

• Obtain new prescriptions and prescription refill information.
• Retrieve, count, and measures drugs.
• Assist Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refer physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
• Operate a cash register and perform data entry.
• Interaction with patients to fill prescription and OTC medication orders, offer consultations with the Pharmacist, and arrange for courier delivery service when needed.
• Fill prescriptions manually or with counting machine.
• Medication Therapy Management documentation.
• Outbound calls to patients for prescription pickup reminders, vaccine reminders, and ensuring that patients are managing their medications
• Handle multiple priorities.
• This role will require long periods of standing and moving between stations in the pharmacy.

This is a Variable Staffing Pool (VSP), position and may incur irregular work shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Active unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician license
• Minimum 6 months of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. and ability to learn new systems and platforms
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to complete the TB screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail environment
• Nationally Certified with PTCB
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
• Certified to administer Immunizations

Schedule:

• Hours of operation will be an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and will include a 30- minute lunch break.
• This is a Variable Staffing Pool (VSP), position and may incur irregular work shifts.
• Hourly compensation for this role is 25.49 hourly

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$39,000 - $49,400 per year
