Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to float between Banner Family Pharmacies at Atrium, Summit View, and Skyline to cover shifts due to PTO or sick coverage. Hours range from 8AM - 7PM, typically 10-hour shifts, with location-based variation.

Responsibilities include preparing, dispensing, and compounding medications under supervision, providing prescription support, and supporting the healthcare team with pharmaceutical care activities, inventory, and billing.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
• 160 hours of on-the-job training required.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions.
• Prepare and dispense appropriate amount of medication under supervision of a pharmacist. Deliver medications accurately to the patient.
• Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and may communicate with patients in waiting area.
• Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with any other administrative duties as assigned by supervising pharmacists or senior technicians.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments
