Job summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner at MultiCare Health System delivers skilled respiratory care across designated patient populations within the Puget Sound area, including Auburn Medical Center and Tacoma General. Qualifications

• AMA approved respiratory therapy program completed.
• RRT credential registered with NBRC.
• WA state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC eligibility to sit for RRT exam.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS credentials within 90 days of hire.
• CPR certification for healthcare providers.
• At least 1 year acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with procedures within scope of practice.
• Room patients in ED with vitals and documentation.
• Perform EKGs and support lab draws as requested.
• Initiate IVs and draw blood per provider/RN staff request.
• Conduct phlebotomy as needed and educate patients/families.

Education

AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program

Registered (RRT) by NBRC

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Washington

NBRC eligibility to sit for RRT exam

ACLS/NRP/PALS credentials within 90 days

Healthcare Provider CPR certification

Minimum 1 year acute care respiratory therapy experience
