Job summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner at MultiCare Health System provides skilled respiratory care across the Puget Sound area, covering Auburn Medical Center, Covington Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore Hospital and Capital Medical Center. This 0.9 FTE role includes a mix of days, evenings and nights with rotating weekends.

You will support providers with procedures, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, educate patients and families, and deliver independent care

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program.
• Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington Registry eligibility.
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire based on population served.
• Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with procedures.
• Room patients in ED including vital signs and documentation.
• EKG, IV starts and lab draws as requested by provider/RN staff.
• Phlebotomy at request of provider/RN staff.
• Patient and family education as requested.
