Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related duties

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and storage.
