Job summary

Hy-Vee's Floating Registered Pharmacists provide care across multiple Hy-Vee pharmacy locations, filling and verifying prescriptions, counseling patients, and upholding HIPAA and regulatory standards. You will work closely with pharmacy teams, build relationships with patients and healthcare providers, and take ownership of the department in the manager's absence.

Qualifications

College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
Ability to administer immunizations required.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and learning their names.
Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with regulations.
Assist with controlled substance inventory and overall inventory control.
Coach, train, and develop pharmacy staff as needed.
Maintain HIPAA privacy and regulatory compliance at all times.
Visit schools, doctors' offices, and community venues to promote services.
