Our Floating Registered Pharmacists bring their expertise and commitment to patient care across multiple Hy‑Vee pharmacy locations, filling and verifying prescriptions, counseling patients, and helping each store deliver on its promise of exceptional health and wellness service. In this role, you'll work closely with pharmacy teams, build relationships with patients and healthcare providers, and take ownership of the pharmacy in the manager's absence.

Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Pharmacy Department Manager; Pharmacy Supervisor
Direct Reports: Pharmacy Technician; Pharmacy Clerk; Delivery Person; Pharmacy Students
College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
Ability to administer immunizations required
Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in the pharmacy and dispensing area, including extended periods at a pharmacy counter or workstation while verifying and processing prescriptions
Ability to verify, dispense, and counsel patients on prescriptions, and administer immunizations, in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and sharps (needles, lancets) associated with immunization administration and pharmacy operations
Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
