Job summary

AMR is seeking a Float Paramedic to respond to emergency calls across multiple locations in KS and MO. The role involves providing advanced medical care, leading on-scene operations, and driving the ambulance on 911 calls.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS upon hire; PALS preferred. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications are required.
  • State Driver’s License is required.
  • BLS and ACLS are required upon hire.
  • PALS is preferred but not required.
  • Driving record must comply with policy.
  • Pass a Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call to determine the best action per Paramedic protocols.
  • Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
  • Communicate with patients and families to share care information and reassurance.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
