Job summary

Whole Family Health Center seeks a Medical Assistant (Float) to join our Vero Beach team. The role involves multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, supporting the care team, and performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic testing per protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, CNA or Medical Assistant certification, CPR preferred, and experience with Athena EHR. Primary duties include patient flow management, education, and adherence to infection control practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification with 1 year adult health experience or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients and performs vital signs, height, weight, and vision tests as directed.
• Performs phlebotomy/finger sticks as trained and available.
• Maintains exam rooms and ensures infection control with proper PPE.
• Assists care team and documents in Athena EHR.
• Performs in-house waived testing and patient education.
• Travel between clinics for coverage if needed.
