Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the outpatient Surgery center as a Floating MA, covering Waterbury and surrounding communities including Southbury, CT. The role involves patient preparation for visits, assisting in treatment areas, and processing information for medical records.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months of related experience, and prefers an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance with national MA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and prepares patients for examination or minor procedures.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs and documents information in the medical record.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes after physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow and assists front office with scheduling and phone duties.
