Job summary

Candidates should have 2–5 years MA experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong IT skills. Training in phlebotomy and EKGs is a plus; travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Education as listed: high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree and/or MA certification preferred.
• 2 to 5 years MA or relevant experience preferred; experience across care settings is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills with Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems; strong verbal and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient flow during clinic hours and updates medical history and vital signs.
• Prepares patient charts in EMR and ensures all documents are in the chart.
• Refills medications, pre-authorizes meds, and handles pre-certifications as needed.
• Obtains medical information from patients and manages MyChart communications.
• Operates EKG and other equipment; assists with phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintains safe, confidential patient environment and supports quality measures.
