Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a Floating Medical Assistant for our clinics in Swansboro and Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients, including triaging and documenting vital signs. The position requires a high school diploma, excellent communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office. We offer a starting pay of $15 per hour, health, dental, and vision benefits, and 401(k) among other perks. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider(s) in patient care delivery.
• Triage patients as per clinic procedures.
• Document patient vital signs and medical history updates.
• Perform lab tests as per guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records and assist transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for appointments.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Assist during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays.
• Help monitor medical inventory.
