Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is hiring Floating Medical Assistants to support clinics in Greenville, Goldsboro, and Smithfield, NC. You will assist providers with patient intake, exams, and discharge while maintaining accurate records and lab work.

The role offers 30+ hours per week with flexible scheduling to fit clinic needs, and comprehensive benefits. Prior MA experience is helpful but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Medical assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers in patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.
• Triage patients promptly per clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to medical history.
• Perform lab tests in line with guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.
