Job Description Summary

This role involves overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work to ensure the community's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep, diagnosing issues and performing repairs according to safety standards and codes.
• Manage the "make-ready" process for vacant units, including inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring quality work completion.
• Set standards for the community’s appearance, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and interior spaces.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, and work with the Community Manager to order as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Support cost control measures by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Conduct safety meetings, ensure OSHA compliance, and keep safety documentation up to date.
• Provide excellent customer service by treating residents and team members with respect, responding promptly to inquiries and complaints.

Additional Details

This is a roving role based across various properties in Southern Virginia, including Richmond, Charlottesville, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and Hampton Roads, requiring regular travel.

Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $40 to $42, with potential bonuses based on performance and role specifics.
