Job Description Summary

This role involves overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work to ensure the community's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. The position is based across various properties in Southern Virginia, including Richmond, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Williamsburg, requiring regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with work orders from residents, diagnosing issues and making repairs according to safety standards and codes.
  2. Manage the "make-ready" process for vacant units, including inspections, scheduling, and completing necessary maintenance.
  3. Set standards for community grounds and common areas to reflect high-quality standards.
  4. Inspect work by team members and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
  5. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, working within budget.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  7. Support cost-saving initiatives and ensure safety compliance through regular meetings and documentation.
  8. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and respectfully to residents and team inquiries.
