Job summary

Bell Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a Westford, MA community to keep the property safe, well-maintained, and attractive for residents. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other mechanical systems, coordinating with vendors as needed.

The role requires 2-5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family housing, EPA 608 Type I/II and CPO certifications, and strong communication to service residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent is required.
  • EPA 608 Type I and Type II certifications, along with a current CPO certification, are required.
  • 2–5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family housing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the community and its grounds are in good repair and provide a safe environment for residents.
  • Maintain grounds and coordinate lawn/grounds service with approved vendors as needed.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents and respond to resident maintenance requests.
  • Attend safety trainings and follow OSHA requirements.
  • Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash and maintain a safe work area.
  • Communicate with residents, management, and staff regularly and reliably.

What You’ll Do To Make a Difference
  • Ensure that the community and its grounds are in good repair and provide a safe and attractive environment for residents through regular inspection
  • Maintain grounds, and coordinate lawn service and other outdoor grounds service from approved vendors as needed
  • Set up and maintain the Community Compliance Manual for the community according to specifications
  • Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff
  • Prepare apartments for new residents
  • Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
  • Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries
  • Attend regular meetings/training programs and follow all safety/OSHA requirements
  • Maintain availability to residents, management, and staff on a regular predictable basis
What You Bring To Our Team
  • Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years of previous maintenance experience in multi-family housing preferred
  • Personnel supervisory experience
  • EPA 608 Type I and Type II certifications, along with a current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, is required
  • Understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Ops Technology, e-mail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements Of The Job
  • Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as hazardous materials
  • Must be comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects
Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00

Incentive compensation opportunities are available and are performance based.
