Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a skilled Floating Chef for our Healthcare Foodservice team serving the greater Pittsburgh metro area. The home site is to be determined after interviews, with onsite service at Cumberland Crossing Manor and other units as needed.

You will coordinate and prepare meals, supervise food service activities, and ensure quality, portion control, and proper temperatures. Travel up to 75% may be required, with leadership responsibilities and compliance with safety

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in food service.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• At least one year’s experience in a supervisory role.
• Associate’s degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
• Help enforce policies for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing.
• Ensure proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
• Directly prepare meals as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our Healthcare Foodservice team in the greater Pittsburgh Metro area. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.

Home site to be determined following interview process.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
• Helping to enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
• Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
• Directly preparing meals as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.
