Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced Floating Chef to join our Healthcare Foodservice team serving the greater Pittsburgh area. The home site will be determined after interview, with on-site support across multiple units.

You will coordinate and prepare meals, supervise staff, enforce food safety standards, manage menus, budgets, and purchasing, and ensure quality, portion control, and proper temperatures.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in food service.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning, directing, organising, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
• Helping to enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
• Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
• Directly preparing meals as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our Healthcare Foodservice team in the greater Pittsburgh Metro area. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.

What you’ll be doing:
