Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Floating Chef to support the Healthcare Foodservice team in the greater Pittsburgh Metro area. You will coordinate and prepare meals for multiple units, traveling up to 75% as needed. Home site to be determined after interviews.

We seek candidates with at least two years of food service experience, supervisory ability, strong leadership and communication skills, and an associate’s degree or higher. Weekly pay and competitive benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
• Help enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation, food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
• Ensure proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
• Directly prepare meals as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our Healthcare Foodservice team in the greater Pittsburgh Metro area. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.

Home site to be determined following interview process.

What you'll be doing:
