Job summary

Child Start Inc. is seeking a Floating Substitute Teacher to provide critical classroom support across multiple centers in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and must be able to step in for teachers, ensuring a nurturing learning environment for children aged infant through 5 years.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CDA certification, and at least 3 months of experience working with young children. Join our mission to prepare children for school and lifelong success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of experience working with children aged infant to 5 years.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Must pass physical exam, TB test, and all background checks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage in the absence of a teacher or assistant teacher.
• Support lesson planning and implementation aligned with Head Start Performance Standards.
• Engage children in meaningful, developmentally appropriate activities.
