Job summary

Racker is looking for a dedicated Floating CSP in the Ithaca area to provide consistent, high-quality support to participants across Tompkins/Cortland, Tompkins/Tioga, or Cortland/Tioga counties.

The role requires personal transportation and offers a guaranteed 40 hours per week at $20/hour, plus paid sick and vacation time, health insurance, tuition assistance, and a 20% childcare discount for staff families. Mileage is reimbursed at $.76 per mile and paid with each paycheck.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per agency criteria.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of individuals supported.
• Provide individualized services to people with disabilities and families.
• Participate as active team member, offering input and advocacy for Staff Action Plan.
• Follow objectives in the Staff Action Plan with supervisor guidance.
• Attend trainings to improve service delivery.
• Complete trainings and required forms within stated timeframes.
• Document time and services in eVero per program and regulatory requirements.
• Use smartphone for documentation; personal device preferred.
• Regularly communicate with supervisor about service provision.
• Attend scheduled supervisory meetings and maintain professionalism.

Overview

$20 per hour! Paid Mileage! Full-time Available. As a Floating CSP, you'll be the steady, skilled presence that ensures participants receive consistent, high-quality support within assigned counties (Tompkins/Cortland, Tompkins/Tioga, or Cortland/Tioga). Your flexible 40 hour per week schedule will be shaped by the needs of the people we serve, allowing you to step in where you're most needed. You'll also play a vital role in shaping our future workforce by training incoming permanent CSPs, sharing your expertise, and modeling best practices in person-centered care. This position requires that you have your own transportation. Guaranteed 40 hours per week at $20 per hour (including paid sick and vacation time, tuition assistance, health insurance, and a 20% discount on childcare services for children and grandchildren of full-time staff) & paid mileage ($.76 per mile) added to every paycheck! Upon hire, this position will complete company-paid training in CPR/First Aid and Dietary Consistency. Completion of these trainings will not only equip you with valuable skills to better serve our participants but will also result in a $0.75 per hour pay increase within your first 90 days. Our competitive benefits for staff who work 27.5 hours or more (full time) include paid sick and vacation time, tuition assistance, health insurance, and a 20% discount on childcare services for children and grandchildren of full time staff. We also have a generous reimbursement for mileage, $.76 per mile.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the health and safety of the individuals supported
• Provide individualized services to people with disabilities and their families which may include: respite for families, teaching, modeling, and supporting skill development in a variety of areas at home and in the community
• Participate as an active member of the person's team providing ideas, input, and advocacy for the person related to his or her Staff Action Plan
• Follow objectives as described in the person's Staff Action Plan and as discussed with supervisor
• Attend training to improve services provided
• Complete job requirements (training, PPD, etc) within appropriate time frames
• Report any potential incident to the designated Family Support Coordinator/Supervisor immediately, or the day that it occurred.
• Accurately enter time and services into Racker's electronic health record, eVero, documenting service times, supports provided, and mileage according to program and regulatory requirements (e.g., contemporaneously documenting service provision)
• Use of smart-phone for documentation purposes required. Ownership/usage of personal smart-phone is strongly preferred
• Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding service provision
• Attend scheduled supervisory meetings regularly
• Uphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dress
• Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to meet the agency's approved driver criteria:
  • 3 years experience with a driver's license and no more than 4 points
  • OR 1-3 years experience with a driver's license and no points or violations
