Job summary

Intercare Therapy in Huntington Park, CA is seeking a Coverage Behavior Technician (CBT) to support school-based and behavioral health programs year-round with 30 hours per week. The CBTs are deployed across multiple schools and programs to ensure continuity of care and may assist with onboarding, peer mentorship, and operational projects.

The role reports to the Senior Specialist, School Operations and offers diverse experiences across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of behavioral intervention, ABA, special education, or related experience.
• Knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention methodologies.
• CPI certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple service settings.
• Experience supporting school-based clients preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 15 miles one-way within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• School-Based Direct Service: Implement IEPs and BIPs; provide individualized behavioral intervention support; facilitate participation in activities; collect data and complete documentation.
• Behavioral Health Direct Intervention Support: Provide direct intervention services in Intercare Centers and home-based settings; serve as a Peer Support Partner; conduct onboarding support activities.
• Communication & Professional Expectations: Maintain confidentiality; participate in trainings and meetings; maintain professional standards.
