Job summary

Maplefields & R.L. Vallee in Georgia, VT 05454 is seeking a Floating Associate/MIT to deliver outstanding customer service across store operations, including food service and management duties.

You will support scheduling gaps and cover multiple stores within the district’s area of operations. This full-time role requires versatility, cash handling, stocking, maintenance work, and willingness to learn Store Manager tasks such as invoicing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver excellent service throughout interactions.
• Fill in for scheduling gaps to keep store operations running smoothly.
• Perform cashier, stocking, and maintenance tasks; participate in food service.
• Learn Store Manager tasks: cash balancing, invoicing, ordering, scheduling, and maintenance requests.
• Seek Serve Safe certification and follow all food safety practices.
• Train new staff as needed.
• Be flexible and willing to travel between locations in the district.
• Communicate store issues or feedback to Store Managers and District Manager.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Position Description: Always greet and provide excellent customer service with customers. A floating associate/MIT will have comprehensive knowledge of general operations within the store, including store side, food service and management duties. Will work with District Manager on supporting stores within the district's area of operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Always greet customers within the store, provide excellent customer service throughout the interaction.
• Support store with filling in for scheduling gaps to ensure operations run smoothly.
• Willingness to work as a cashier, stock product, maintenance tasks, and work in food service department.
• Willingness to learn Store Manager tasks, such as cash balancing, invoicing, ordering, scheduling, environmental tasks, maintenance request to be able to cover stores in managers absence.
• Willingness to learn foodservice operations, get Serve Safe certified and follow all food safety and sanitation practices.
• Help train new staff in stores.
• Be flexible and willing to travel to more than one location a day.
• Communicate well with Store Managers and District Manager on store issues or feedback.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.

Availability

Shifts vary by location and are established based on the business needs of the Store. Your manager will work with you to find a schedule that will provide you with your desired hours, whenever possible. Schedules are flexible and should be discussed with your manager.

This position requires self-provided transportation to area stores.
