Job summary

Henrico Education Foundation is seeking a Floating Lead to support after-school enrichment for elementary-age children across multiple program locations. The role focuses on delivering engaging activities, building positive relationships, and ensuring safe, supportive environments.

As a Floating Lead, you will implement lesson plans, assist with homework, and promote positive youth development while traveling between sites and maintaining collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and have completed high school or equivalent
• Must meet ONE of the listed education/experience options
• Experience with after-school or school-age program environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers program lesson plans meeting developmental needs
• Floats to multiple program locations as needed
• Engages children to ensure active participation in activities
• Builds relationships with children to support individual needs
• Ensures child safety in assigned group
• Assists with homework and supports academic progress
• Provides supervision and positive youth development approaches
• Facilitates a productive program environment encouraging exploration and play
• Maintains communication with supervisor and attends staff meetings
