Small Steps Granbury is seeking a Part-Time Afternoon Floating Teacher to join our childcare program. The role involves assisting lead teachers and stepping into lead responsibilities as needed, ensuring classrooms run smoothly and children are engaged and cared for.

The position calls for flexibility, reliability, and a warm, team-focused attitude to support infants through school-age children in a dynamic center setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to comfortably work with all age groups (infants through school age).
• Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs.
• Kind-hearted and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children.
• Team player who communicates effectively and respectfully with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in classrooms ranging from infants to school-age children.
• Step in as a lead teacher when needed, following lesson plans and daily schedules.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
• Follow all center policies and state licensing regulations.
• Foster positive, respectful communication with children, families, and team members.
• Help with classroom transitions, lunch and snack service, rest time routines, and end-of-day cleaning.
• Work collaboratively with all staff and contribute to a strong, supportive team culture.
• Serve as a positive role model through kindness, motivation, and consistency.
