Henrico Education Foundation is seeking energetic counselors to lead a designated group of children at Montrose Elementary School for after-school and enrichment programs. The role focuses on safety, mentorship, and encouraging academic progress through engaging activities.

The position is part-time (about 20-25 hours per week), Monday through Friday with no weekends. Hourly rate is $17 after training, with free participation in HEF programs for your family and opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Degree in child-related field required.
• Early childhood certificate required.
• At least 6 months of programmatic experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Delivers program lesson plans in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Engages with assigned children to ensure active participation.
• Develops positive relationships and monitors safety.
• Provides homework assistance and supports academic progress.
• Maintains supervision and models positive youth development.
