Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a Clinician to float across NW Region service areas, providing adult Primary Care coverage for short-term needs and for other clinicians' panels.

You will assess and manage patient care, perform histories and exams, order and interpret tests, educate patients, and document in the permanent medical record in accordance with state licensing guidelines and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ANA-approved NP or AMA-approved PA training program or equivalent requirements to meet State licensure.
• License, Certification, Registration: Credentials from primary and secondary states required at hire and post hire.
• RN license (Oregon) within 6 months of hire AND NP certification; RN license (Washington) within 6 months of hire AND ARNP license (Washington) within 6 months of hire OR PA license (Oregon) within 6 months and PA-NC and WA license within 6 months.
• DEA Registration and National Provider Identifier required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat common medical diseases and injuries.
• Perform histories and physicals; order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies; order medications.
• Provide health maintenance services and patient education.
• Refer patients for specialty consultations or difficult problems.
• Document all care in patient records per standards.
• Coordinate or develop patient or department services or programs.
