Job summary

Kiddie Academy of Lutz is seeking a dynamic Floater Teacher to support multiple classroom environments and ages, partnering with our Life Essentials curriculum to provide hands-on, play-based learning experiences.

You will assist lead teachers with lesson planning, implement activities across literacy, math, PE, and SEL, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom that supports every child’s growth.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to complete 45 Hours DCF Training within the first 3 months of hiring.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, families and engage with young learners.
  • Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm for teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible classroom coverage across multiple age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students, ensuring continuity of learning and care.
  • Assist lead teachers with lesson planning, and curriculum implementation with engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and creating a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
  • Work closely with children to support their individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Maintain open communication with staff and parents to update on student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Uphold standards of child welfare and safety by adhering to all licensing regulations, daycare policies, and best practices in childhood development.
  • Contribute to classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean, welcoming space conducive to learning.

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team.
