Job summary

Westport Montessori Center in Kansas City, MO is looking for a full-time Floater Teacher to support all age groups, from infants to pre-kindergarten. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Willingness to support the center as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
