Job summary

The Learning Experience – Cascade in Cascade, MI is hiring a flexible Floater Teacher to provide classroom coverage across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs, supporting staff and ensuring smooth transitions.

You will assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor activities, and supervision, while maintaining safe ratios and a positive, welcoming environment for every child, daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in childcare or daycare preferred.
• Comfortable working with multiple age groups and meeting licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs.
• Support teacher breaks, staffing needs, and classroom transitions.
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate learning and play.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and outdoor activities.
• Help maintain appropriate classroom ratios and supervise with care.
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Floater Teacher – Daycare & Preschool

Location: The Learning Experience – Cascade, MI

Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Cascade is hiring a flexible and energetic Floater Teacher to provide classroom support across our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs.

This is a great role for an educator who enjoys working with different age groups and doesn't want every day to look exactly the same. You'll step into classrooms where you're needed most while helping maintain consistency, safe ratios, and a positive experience for children.

What You'll Do

• Provide classroom coverage across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs
