Job summary

C&B CUSTOM MODULAR INCORPORATED in Bristol, IN is seeking a Floater to assist with construction, assembly, finishing, loading and installation of modular building components. You will support multiple teams to keep workflow on schedule in a safe, clean plant environment.

The role involves measuring, cutting, fastening, and basic construction tasks, assisting carpenters and electricians, and preparing modules for transportation. Must lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction and assembly of modular buildings and components
• Load, unload, move, and organize building materials, tools and equipment
• Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades
• Perform measuring, cutting, fastening, drilling, and other basic construction tasks
• Assist with interior and exterior finishing work, including drywall, trim, flooring, siding, and general cleanup
• Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Follow plans, instructions, and direction from supervisors and foremen
• Assist with preparing modules for transportation and installation
• Help with setup, installation, and final site work
• Other duties as assigned

Position Objective:

The Floater assists with the construction, assembly, finishing, loading and installation of modular building components. This position provides flexible support throughout the plant assisting various teams as needed. This position helps maintain workflow, meet production schedules, and support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction and assembly of modular buildings and components
• Load, unload, move, and organize building materials, tools and equipment
• Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades
• Perform measuring, cutting, fastening, drilling, and other basic construction tasks
