Job summary

M&T Bank, Lexington, MA is seeking a Float Universal Banker to support branch customer experience across multiple locations. You will educate customers on Consumer and Business Banking solutions, handle transactions, and assist with loan-related inquiries while maintaining compliance with AML and KYC requirements.

You are expected to travel between branches within the designated area, deliver a differentiated customer experience, and promote digital banking solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of proven retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.
• Ability to travel between branches as needed.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with a diverse customer base and handle difficult conversations.
• Proficiency with internet-based tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers and explain Consumer/Business Banking solutions and benefits.
• Engage customers to bank with us and promote digital capabilities.
• Explain loan application criteria at a high level.
• Complete servicing tasks and seek opportunities to cross-sell banking needs.
• Follow sales process and provide customer-focused guidance.
• Reach out to support retention and expansion of relationships.
• Manage lobby interactions and preemptively address customer needs.
• Refer customers to banking partners when appropriate.
