Job summary

Capitol Bank in Wisconsin is seeking a Float Universal Banker to provide banker and teller coverage across branch locations, including Saturdays and holidays. You will maintain product knowledge, assist customers with deposits and new accounts, and support cross-selling while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Travel between branches is required; a valid driver's license and 3–5 years of banking experience are expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and teamwork mentality are essential.

Qualifications

This role will be paid mileage in accordance with Capitol Bank's travel reimbursement policy.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides banker and teller coverage to all Capitol Bank branch locations.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge in all Capitol Bank products and services offerings.
  • Assists customers with opening new personal and business deposit accounts.
  • Resolves all customer needs and requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Accurately processes customer transactions on the teller line.
  • Ensures a positive interaction with existing and prospective customers on the phone and in person with a focus on acquiring and expanding loyal relationships.
  • Works to achieve targeted levels for product sales, service behaviors, and referral goals.
  • Maintains an active community presence and participates in Bank activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Follows all established bank policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in bank products and services in order to cross-sell.
  • Provides banker and teller coverage to all branch locations. Schedule flexibility and travel required.
  • Process deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, issue Cashier's Checks, accept a variety of payments, process coin orders accurately, perform proof duties, balance cash vaults, scan and file appropriate documents
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy by balancing cash drawer daily. Keeps cash overages/shortages within the acceptable standards. Properly completes all account paperwork with minimal errors and no delays.
  • Responsible for achieving targeted levels for product sales, service behaviors, and referral goals.
  • Opens new depository accounts for business and personal customers, takes ownership of account maintenance requests.
  • Handles customer account inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintains an active community presence and participates in Bank activities.

In addition, the Float Universal Banker will also maintain continuous contact with customers and prospective customers through correspondence, business visits, and social events in conjunction with the offering of bank services.

Skillset & Experience:
  • Effective communication when working with customers and/or employees.
  • Schedule flexibility including on Saturdays and Holidays. Have the ability to travel between branches as needed with minimal notice.
  • Be involved in developing solutions to meet the needs of the customer and/or employees.
  • Flexibility to meet changing workload; highly self-motivated.
  • Be a team player and be respectful to all staff, customers, and prospects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software.
  • 3 to 5 years of customer service experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of banking experience.
  • Applicable college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Possess valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for periods greater than 30 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to use computer monitors for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to perform basic typing functions.
