Job summary

Champions First Credit Union is seeking a Float Teller for part-time coverage in the Tallahassee area, including Crawfordville. You’ll handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and basic teller duties while rotating among local branches to meet staffing needs.

The role emphasizes friendly member service, accuracy, and adherence to security and compliance standards. A high school diploma and cash-handling experience are preferred; travel within the Tallahassee area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive, welcoming presence.
• Intermediate math skills, comfortable working with percentages, decimals, and fractions.
• Comfort operating standard office equipment plus cash-handling machines such as the vault, ATM, and coin counter.
• Ability to lift full boxes of work up to 30 pounds, sit, bend, stoop, or stand as needed.
• Willingness and ability to travel among Tallahassee-area branch locations.
• Regular and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Flexible Branch Coverage – Travel and rotate among Tallahassee-area branches based on staffing and operational needs, and bring the same great service wherever you’re needed.
• Everyday Transactions – Process deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, monetary instrument purchases, and check cashing, and evaluate checks for negotiability.
• Member Service – Answer member questions, resolve issues or refer them to the right department, and respond to new account and loan inquiries.
• Helping Members Find the Right Fit – Educate members about the products and services that meet their financial needs.
• Branch Operations – Support vault balancing, night deposits, coin machines, cash dispensers, and mail processing.
• Compliance & Confidentiality – Follow OFAC, BSA, FACTA, and shared branching rules, and protect member information and data security.
• Routing & Documentation – Route account information to the right department, keep documentation complete and accurate, and help archive teller documents.
• Teamwork – Communicate with the Branch Supervisor about any concerns and contribute to a high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing
