Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse for our Nursing Float Pool. The role requires floating to selected Zone facilities and delivering patient care across units with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practice.

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; BSN preferred. Licensure in-state or multi-state compact, and BLS certification are required. Part-time position with 40 hours/week and shared duties across zones.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS certification; multi-state compact license preferred.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 2 years in service line preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and supports continuous evaluation of outcomes.
• May administer medications and therapies following protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback and conflict resolution with the team.
