Job summary

DayToDay Health seeks a Float RN to provide direct patient care across Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and possibly Family Birth units. This night-shift role demands clinical excellence, adaptability, and collaboration with interprofessional teams to optimize outcomes.

The nurse will assess patients, develop care plans, mentor colleagues, and educate families, while upholding standards of practice and delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• 1-2 years RN experience in critical care settings preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification for the respective state.
• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and Family Birth units as needed.
• Apply medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Build relationships with patients and families, advocating for their needs.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans using the nursing process.
• Assess physical, cultural, social, and emotional factors to inform management.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to coordinate care and evaluate outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Mentor colleagues and promote a positive work environment.
• Use evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and other assigned duties.
