Job summary

UC Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg/ICU Float Pool, PM shift at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. You will support Med Surg/ICU units with high-quality care based on assessed needs and established standards.

As part of UC Health, you’ll work in a Level I trauma center environment, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and continue professional development while delivering compassionate patient care in a world-class academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree, minimum required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.
• Current OH RN License.
• 3 years of Med Surg experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares, implements, and coordinates interdisciplinary care plans.
• Communicates care plans to the healthcare team.
• Educates patients and families on treatment and post-care.
• Identifies needs arising from behavioral health or cultural norms.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and professional accountability.
• Documents nursing process accurately per policy.
• Mentors new staff and floater personnel.
• Pursues ongoing professional development.
