Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Current RN licensure in PA or compact state.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS required or obtained by orientation if applicable to area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards and conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and document accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identify patient needs based on objective data and document actions taken.
• Implement appropriate nursing actions and document outcomes for each patient.
• Discuss plans with patient and/or family and obtain consent and expectations; involve multidisciplinary team.
