Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Float unit. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a 178-bed teaching hospital located in Darby, PA.

The role requires an RN license in PA or a compact state, an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and BLS; ACLS is required or obtained during orientation as applicable. Full-time day shifts available with 12-hour rotations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in PA or compact state.
• BLS Certification; ACLS required or orientation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to nursing practice standards and provides patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assist ED patient and document per ER tools.
• Identify patient needs from objective data and document actions.
• Perform nursing actions appropriate to each patient and ensure sound judgment.
• Discuss care plans and outcomes with patient/family and document.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care.
